BOSCHERT,
RUTH LEINBACH HOEFFLER, 84. Born Sept. 11, 1919 in Reno County,
KS to Jesse Leo and Grace Ballard Leinbach. Due to complications of
Parkinsons disease, she passed away peacefully January 14, 2004 in Denton,
TX, with her family at her bedside. In 1935 Ruth graduated Valedictorian
from Sunset HS, in Dallas. She then attended SMU on full scholarship,
graduating with many honors including Phi Beta Kappa in 1939 at age 19. Ruth
then went to Washington D.C. where during the war she was a secretary for
the Public Relations Dept of the Army Air Force. After the war she married
and moved back to Dallas where she raised two children. She taught Latin and
German at Kimball HS for over 20 years. Her former students will remember
her as 'Frau Hoeffler'. She sponsored the German club and the National Honor
Society. Ruth traveled extensively, visiting over 20 countries including
Australia, Tasmania, Transylvania, Russia, Morocco, Turkey, Belize, Panama,
Costa Rica and most of Europe. A great lover of Classical music, she held
season tickets to both the symphony and the opera. She also enjoyed theater.
An active member of Ridgewood Park UMC, she gave of her time freely. She was
preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gilbert Boschert. She is survived
by her son, John Hoeffler and his wife, Susan Torrie, of Corinth, daughter
Joanne Molina, her husband Primo and grandson Matthew Jesse Molina of Austin
and her cousin Joan Ballard Ore of Newton, KS. Ruth was a fine, caring and
gentle lady who will be remembered lovingly by many. She donated her body to
Southwestern Medical school and per her request, there will be no memorial
service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your
